Magic

Hello, brothers and sisters!

TierraMítica is a magical place, where small and big miracles happen all the time. Why? Well, because it is fun to make them happen!

On a beautiful spot, right next to the entrance of Casablanca, shines Jake’s Turf. Jake is creating his own universe. Through his hands, ancient messages, extra-terrestrial creatures, and magical flowers are coming to life. It is always surprising to see what new creation popped out of his imagination into reality.

Our beloved Asa is determined to make her miracles happen as well. We are in the jungle of Peru, but she decided to create a desert landscape on the Lakota hill. She is using her magic to grow cacti in a place where others would say it cannot be done. But she does not listen to the voices who say what she cannot do. She uses her voice to sing to them and her nursing skills to bandage the sunburned Aloe Vera.

And what about the story of our little Perlita. Many of you remember her as a scared and skinny little Peruvian dog, who never stopped visiting us and never gave up, although we were trying to chase her away. She succeeded, we opened our heart to her, and not only us, but Huascar too! She became a happy family member and proud mother of Huascar’s sons. She performed a miracle of her own by giving birth to four huge puppies, sons of a father who is over two times her size.

Pictures have been circulating on the web showing a bunch of happy gringos hidden behind a sign.

Together with the land we bought, came a building in need of a name and a purpose and we are very proud to pronounce that Fort Knox now also exists in Peru.

Some of us just found out that Babushka in Russian means Grandmother. Thank you Galina, for sharing this ‘coincidence’ with us. Babushka, our ceremonial floor, where so many miracles have happened to our Argonauts, is now undergoing her own. Following another Mikis’ design, she has been growing every day to create space for all the coming Argonauts. If you are thinking about coming for an adventure, stop thinking and register, because the March Mythic Voyage is already fully booked! OH YEAH!!!

Everybody is invited to come and experience all of our ongoing miracles. Or even better, create one – or three – of your own!

OOOOH YEAH!!!

The TierraMíticans found their way to the website again, OOOOH YEAH!!!
For the past few months, it was very quiet on the blog, but that is not at all the case for life at TierraMítica! Shit is happening and the work has been accelerating big time.
We want to share our experiences with our family and stay connected. It is our intention to give updates about our adventures on a regular basis from now on. And as you know, guys, intention is what WILL happen, no matter what! Enjoy!

What happened with TierraMítica in the second half of 2013…
Bram decided to leave for a while, we are very thankful for everything he did for TierraMítica. He was amongst many other things an amazing chef, musician and of course the man of the blog.

Loretta left after a stay of nine months, she left her life in Greece and now she is travelling across South America. Afterwards she will stay in TierraMítica forever :) , we are looking forward to see her (and hear her amazing laugh) again.

Two TierraMíticans joined the family in June, Wendy and Jake! Jake is a kick ass Australian guy, who discovered he is a top notch chef. Taste his fishburgers, they are awesome, just like him! Our wonderful Wendy is now a permanent member of TierraMítica, she gives her love to everything and everybody here.

More recently, four new volunteers joined, our population doubled and we like! Welcome to Lies (November 2013), Galina, Jens and Ã…sa (December 2013)! All of them were Argonauts before and came back to live another adventure, to do the work, to practice, to create, but most of all to be happy and have fun.

As for structural development, Casablanca is in full use now, she is our living room, dance hall, drum and bass club, hypermodern movie house (7 meter screen, top that!) and permanent art exhibition. One of the main features is our huge transformable round table, an original Mikis design. We are all very proud to present you our newest creation, the flamboyant kitchen area of Casablanca, called Charlotte! The baby shower will take place this week with a French Crêpe party.

Magic is happening all around, like in the smallest bedroom of TierraMítica, our Pequeño. Lies is creating a magical world full of mythical beings. Every day is another surprise, beautiful creatures are manifesting themselves on the walls and ceiling.
TierraMítica is evolving and growing in every way. We bought a new piece of land and the most beautiful gate in the world now stands proudly at the main road, for everybody to see. After entering this portal of magic, a tipi appears on the horizon. He stands in the center of Lakota, our Indian village, together with his friends the Temascal and the Hammock Brothers, waiting for you guys to jump in on the fun.

2013 was a year full of magic and we ended in style with the mythical wedding on New Year’s Eve of Jens and Ã…sa. Everybody put their energy, love and intention to create this fairytale wedding. Ordinary chairs were turned into majestic thrones, plain wooden handrails started growing the most beautiful flowers, and candles were magically floating on the water. Like a real Cinderella, Ã…sa lost her shoe just before midnight and her beautiful prince, Jens, came to rescue her. When the clock struck 12, Mikis joined them both as husband and wife.
These are a few highlights of all that has happened here the past months, the spirit of TierraMítica is alive and kicking!
So stay tuned, brothers and sisters, more news is coming soon!

From TierraMítica, with love,
Wendy and Lies

Yin and Yang Mythic Voyage

The first ever Yin and Yang Mythic Voyage is happening.
It is going to take place from Saturday November 29th until Saturday, December 13th and it is a very special event.
It is special in that it only accepts Argonauts, people who have already taken a Mythic Voyage in TierraMitica. People who understand and consciously choose as their intention and priority in life their happiness.
It is special because it will last a full 15 days, the longest and deepest Mythic Voyage ever by a huge margin. It will be deeply transformative as a result, and a true test of intention.
It is special because it is dedicated to the dimensions of sensuality, sexuality and polarity. The sensual dimension is the interaction between our senses and the universe, it is our bridge between the manifested and the unmanifested, the potentiality, ideas, inspirations, insights, feelings, choices. The integral polarity of everything that provides the spark for everything, the poetry, symmetry and elegance of all.
It is special because it will involve Ayahuasca ceremonies, and traditionally sexuality is prohibited in ceremonies. It is the first time that we will go fully focused and with specific intentions to explore our sexuality deeply, and navigate the beauty of our animalistic primality fully entwined and in sacred dance with our spirituality and internal morality.
It is special because it will attempt to see the whole world through the looking glass of polarity. Polarity is what provides every spark, all life, through every inhalation and exhalation, through the masculine and the feminine viewed as the ever changing and the immovable, through the creation out of what was a fleeting thought. We will explore the mechanisms of creating polarity and thus the spark of passion on demand and ways to do this on our own, internally and also in relationship, in concert.
It is special because it will envision a path to happinness and enlightenment together, the masculine and the feminine hand in hand, helping each other through complementarity rather than competition. Two people together, aligned and dancing to a common, agreed, co created music.
It is special because it will teach tantric and other sexual and sensual practices that will be practiced individually and in couples, each person rotating and practicing with whatever partner, but also to be practiced internally, under the Grandmothers veil, under a totally magical dimension.

It is also particularly special, because it will introduce the Meth & Ciza sexual spiritual practice for couples, existing or future, designed to continuously enhance passion during the relationship instead of allowing it to dwindle and wither as usually happens. It is a new concept for human erotic relationship to be introduced during this particular workshop after years of learning and research. A way to create intense, magically liberated freeflowing and unstressed sexuality while at the same time introducing buttons to automatically reverse bad energies in the couple. It is Wow and it works!

The cost will be 2,800 US Dollars due to the long duration of this very special Yin and Yang Mythic Voyage.
Each application, except from couples, will be provisional until a member of the opposite sex registers. Then, and omly then can we lock a registration and only then will you be asked to send a downpayment since we need an equal number of man and women. Homosexuals can choose and declare dominant energy.

Practices will be intensely sensual and sexual energetically but not physically, there will be no physical sexuality. Couples will be able to practice with each other as much as with every other person. Apply early, places will be limited.
This is going to be the coolest workshop I have ever done! > Mikis

The Lavanderia

The Lotus Flower

The Lavanderia, also known as the washroom or laundry room in Gringo-tongue, as the name might suggest,
Cleanin' the Lizard
is where Tierra Miticans hand wash their clothes to then hang to to dry in the hot
Fillin' in the cracks
jungle sun. For Loretta, sheer functionality was not enough, and she envisioned a place where people could wash their clothes in style, with panache. A room with color, soul, and heart to match that which is within all of the beautiful people of Tierra Mitica. And so Loretta, inspired, set out to create for us a mosaic that would span the entire length of the washroom countertop. She spent many hours putting her creativity, heart, and love into each carefully chosen piece of broken tile, and what emerged was a beautiful collage of color, lizards, and lotus flowers.
Gracias Loretta!

Mythic Chicks

The chicks new home.
Our family keeps growing by the day and we recently welcomed seventeen new members to Tierra Mitica. They're adorable, fluffy, and have a voracious appetite for ants and grubs. These days, if you wander the labyrinth, you can feel at easy knowing that fifteen little chicks are on duty protecting your feet from the legion of ants descending from the treetops. In addition to the chicks are two little ducklings (well, we're not entirely sure what they are, "Pequines", so we've been told) who never fail to pull at our heart strings as they swim happily up and down our rivers, scooping up tasty flies and water bugs. Some day soon, the duckling couple will be brave, and as our appointed guard ducks, they will chase away any and all serpents that might be lurking about. *UPDATE: One of our ducklings has moved on and become One With, but his sister is happily making friends with her pollito cousins.*
Soon!
The chicks on the other hand are the first in line of a generation that will provide Tierra Mitica with plenty of new chicks, free range eggs for our breakfasts, and healthy meat for our dinners. Up near the garden where we have a large coop and pecking range, our mature chickens have recently begun to sit on their own eggs and soon we will have even more little chicks cheerfully chirping their way about Tierra Mitica.

In two days we will be welcoming the next group of Argonauts of the July Mythic Voyage and the energy is buzzing around Tierra Mitica as we prepare to embark on what is sure to be another incredible adventure. The August Mythic Voyage is also just around the corner and there are still spots available for any brave and daring Argonauts seeking to embark themselves on a new path of life! Sign Up Here

Overwhelming cuteness.

Farewell Mieka!

Our beloved Mieka made the decision to open a new chapter in her life and headed out into the world in search of new and exciting adventures. It has been amazing having her as part of our family over the past seven months. We will miss her dearly but trust that wherever she finds herself next, her life will be full of vision and inspiration (we have a feeling we will be seeing her again soon ;)). On her last night we held a celebration filled with laughter, live music and dancing around a fire pit, and a half-naked man in the kitchen baking hot and chewy cookies (see picture) which were soon after devoured and washed down with ice cold glasses of milk.
Mieka, we love you and wish you nothing but the best on your path. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all of the joy, heart, and spirit you provided us and Tierra Mitica!

The Meditation Labyrinth

Imagine a place where endless corridors made of leaves guide you through thoughts and dreams. A place where every turn may hold the pleasant surprise of a previous traveler's spirit left behind in the form of art - sculptures, painted rocks, mandalas, and poems. A place of privacy to connect and converse with friends, family, and lovers among the lianas hanging from the jungle canopy above.  This place exists: The Meditation Labyrinth of Tierra Mitica.
Mama of the Labyrinth
The walls are growing by the day!

Inspiring words of Rudyard Kippling
The labyrinth is in a constant state of evolution, not just because its walls are currently growing (soon to be over 2m high!) but also because
Moon lovers
everyone who comes to visit Tierra Mitica is invited to create a piece of art to place somewhere within the maze's meandering menagerie of moon people, minotaurs, and magic. Maintaining a jungle labyrinth is no easy feat, but fortunately we are blessed to have our very own Mieka as its mother and caregiver, for whom taking care of the labyrinth is a labor of love. From conceptualizing and

manifesting floating poems, to providing hidden gems of bright eye-catching flower arrangements, and of course keeping the jungle floor clear of leaves and debris, the amount of love and care Mieka gives to her Meditation Labyrinth is evident at every step one makes through its passageways.

We invite you to come add to the magic!

A Mythic Voyage, Dancing Shipibo, and New Family Members

Marilyn and Mikis
And so another Mythic Voyage has come to pass, bringing together an entirely multinational group of Argonauts who found love and oneness in each other despite their varied backgrounds and life stories. The June Argonauts inspired us with their bravery as each and every one of them faced their deepest fears and made new choices for their lives. During
Wendy, Sergej "Papa Bear", and Jake
two of our ceremonies, we were graced by Ruben, our head Maestro and the Shipibo Maestras, as they danced triumphantly during the final Icaros of the night. This marks the first time in over seven years of working with the Shipibo that they have ever danced for us and we are beyond honored and grateful because it means that they truly respect and believe in the work we do here at Tierra Mitica.

Papa Bear and Galina
We celebrated the end of our voyage with a spectacular BBQ feast which was followed by a decadent chocolate fudge orange marmalade cake and a concert put on by one of the Argonauts, Jake, a phenomenal percussionist who plays anything from pots and pans, salt shakers, construction items, and paint bucket lids taped to his feet to get the whole room moving and grooving to his rhythms and beats.

As our new brothers and sisters head back out
Laura and the Maestras
into their lives with a new sense of clarity and inspiration, two wanted to prolong their Mythic experience and asked to stay as volunteers. We are happy to welcome Wendy and Jake to our family as well as the musicality and enthusiasm they bring with them.

Congratulations guys!
