The Garden in the Jungle
Tomatoes |
The vegetable garden is alive! While starting from scratch about four weeks ago, Mother Nature is exploding in true abundance as the tomatoes are really big now! Also the watermelons, cucumbers, red peppers, hot peppers, squash, coriander, and lettuce sprouts have climbed through the earth and into the light. We are patiently awaiting the carrots to show their courage, but after last nights’ down pour there is little doubt that they are on their way! It is a real pleasure to work in this beautiful place and to witness new leafs appearing every day… and so fast! We also have two sunflowers offered by Willy, Juleisy and Tiffany, our new little friends living beside the land. They are as enthusiastic as we are about the garden, helping us after school.
Each vegetable bed has evolved into its own special figure. We have a serpent of cucumber, a cloud of watermelons, wings of Carrots, a horseshoe of hot peppers, the doors of Aladdin hold the tomatoes, a tear drop of red pepper and coriander… and a happy vagina of purple flowers!
Check out more photos on our facebook album.
